Ipoh expedition!
On the 14th of january 2009, wednesday..one fine day ..
A bunch of us decide to ..explore.....Ipoh! (cause we KL-ians got bored of the city and have ntg better to do?LOL!)
Left at freaking 6 .30am..see the moon still up.. The roads are clear..woooosh~~ Is this 7am?! Reaching!??! NOoooooooooooo!!Don't take me!! Oiiii...where's Ipoh la..??!
Finally reached IPOHhhhhhhhhhhh!! Our tour guide no.1 car from behind view :p.. Indeed backview..LOL!!jalan jalan cari makan to filled our empty stomachs!! First stop of the day..!!DIM SUMMMMMM!!!:D Savouring the delicious 'kao zhi'.. Lap cheung rice..!
Char siew pau..LOL!! What's left of the egg tart?! *Burp*..There's still room for... ......Tau Fu Fah of course!! After filling our stomach..It's time to roam around the town of Ipoh.. Chinese New Year is coming soon..O_o.. Some sights in town..old man on trishaw!?LOL!! Ipoh seems to be famous for its many caves or gua-gua!hahahah! After roaming a bit..It's time for another break...thirsty la..!
Ipoh's famous white coffee.. If there's drinks..there surely is FOOD!!! Yum yum...Chee cheong fun to go with tea :D
Once again after filling our stomachs..we are on our way back to our journey.. Went to visit this temple- cave place..many statues!!They even have the journey to the west characters..wahahah!cute!
I pray for money luck from cai shen $_$..You need to throw the coins into the bowl 3 times which mean you'll be able to have a good money luck..apparently i don't :(.. Some castle thingy..?! Tortoise pool..! Grandpa and Grandma Wu Gui..! Totally absorbed with the tortoise..!!:p We did more sighseeing around and most importantly we bought our souvenirs home consisting of local food stuff!!You just can't find it back in K.L..even if you do manage to find some..the taste is totally different and of course the price!!!wahahaha.. After all satisfied with their load..What else to do?definitely EATING again la!!LOL! Went to this famous place..known as "under the big tree" (literal translation).. Yong tau fu and porridge!! Hungry Hungry..!!Damage done..
Next..went to lepak at one of our ''tour guide's'' house where it started to rain..deciding on our next destination... It didn't dampen the photographer's spirit though..She still busy snapping pictures away..(look into the side mirror)
Finally we decide to go..another cave -_-"..Gua Kek Loong Tong..!LOL funny weird name!hahaha Inside the cave.. Another world of its own.. Enjoying the beauty of nature..
After that we have a craving for some fruits...limau bali!!Went to this place where one stretch of shop all selling the same thing -_-'' It's actually scam..they are all under one big company.. We end up not buying..Most of the people there really look lala-ish too -_-"..Change of plan, we decide to go for dinner earlier..muahahah!!
What's for dinner!? The must have Ipoh's famous TAUGE CHICKEN HOR FUN!!! You must just have this if you are in Ipoh..or else your trip will be consider a waste!!!! Deliciouss chicken.. Taugeh..my fav!!and plenty of them!!muahaha i'm in heaven!! Hor Fun to go with it..:D..paradise..Omggg~ One of the many competitors..See, how popular it is..Tauge Chicken is a must have delicacy in Ipoh!!
After dinner...not enough!?!? Delicious pastries..
Next, we head down to this famous spot for deserts..known as the 'desert road (literal translation) aka tong sui kai'
That pretty much wrap up our whole trip in Ipoh..It's a peaceful town..not much entertainment or night life..The only entertainment for us there was of course ........
and no we did not went to the one that just collapse recently =X..wanted too though! Though never get to go Kellis Castle's, it was overally a good trip and bonding session!!!!! I wonder when's our next huh!?
